Michael Midgley has used more than 40 years experience with dairy and beef cattle to develop\u00a0 a range of cattle handling equipment and services.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Midgley Mobile Handling System<\/a>\u00a0is a patented system for the safe handling of cattle anywhere on the farm and is the result of 9 years development in the\u00a0<\/span>hire<\/a>\u00a0side of the business. Successive prototypes were sold to customers who wanted to keep a system to use themselves, each an improvement on the last. Two models - standard and large - can be bought as well as hired.<\/span><\/p>\n

JM Midgley Farm Services was founded in 1997, using Michael's experience running the family's mixed farm in Yorkshire. He set up and ran both a dairy unit and a suckler herd before the business was split up and is proud to be one of that increasingly rare breed, a true stockman.<\/span><\/p>\n

While most of Michael\u2019s hire and cattle services work is in the East Midlands, East Anglia and Yorkshire, he has customers across the UK ranging\u00a0from stately homes and large estates to small family enterprises, \"hobby\" and city farms.<\/p>\n

He works with Trading Standards, the RPA, Ministry vets and other official personnel on a regular basis and is experienced in solving cattle handling issues in the most challenging environments using his own\u00a0pens and crushes or combining them with a farm's own systems.<\/p>\n

Health and Safety is a key part of the service. The company has its own tailored H&S policy and can supply risk assessments on request.<\/p>\n
