| The library petition against recently imposed cuts in opening hours was given to the Leader of the County Council, Councillor Martin Hill on Wednesday, 14th May with an accompanying letter on the community's behalf from the Chairman of the Parish Council, Councillor Audrey Pestell. The letter requests answers to the questions raised by the community regarding the Fundamental Library Review, which despite a public meeting with County Library officials in attendance, still remain unanswered. Copies of the letter were also sent to the County Council's Chief Executive, Tony Mc Ardle and Sir Peter Tapsell M.P. Sir Peter has already responded asking for a copy of the County Council's Response. |
