 The
Lincolnshire Austin A30/A35 Owners Club hosted its annual rally in Jubilee
Park (Woodhall Spa)
on the 12th of July 2009.
This
was a great opportunity to view some of the areas
finest examples of the popular A30 and A35 car.
A car
which never fails to make people smile and bring back the memories “ I
learnt to drive in one of these”, “ My Dad had one” It
was our first Car”, “ I had my first kiss in one of
these”
! etc…..
The Austin
A30/A35 Owners Club was formed 29 years ago when a handful of
local enthusiasts came together and formed the Lincolnshire Group –.
It held it’s first ever Rally at Belton House in 1981. It’s
founder members Gladys Hind & Margaret Cobbold are still with
the club and you will be able to see their cars at Jubilee Park
this year. The
Club has approx 40 members from all over Lincolnshire who attend
various events with their “Baby” Austins, not only
locally, but throughout the Country.
The
event was open to all classic marques of motor car
and motorcycle. Thanks to all those who brought their vehicle
along.
